Several Prominent Historic Restorations in Halifax including Inns, Churches & Mansions.
1987
John Greenough featured in McLean’s Magazine as a top Canadian Renovator/Restorer.
1987
Incorporated Provident Development Inc.
1988
Recognized for Link Home Innovation with the ‘Georgian Street Homes’ in Bedford.
1991
Won the Canadian Home Builders Association national award for best community for “Torrington” in Bedford, also won the Nova Scotia Home Award for the first of several times.
1993
Won the open tender to develop the Bedford Waterfront. This lead to the completion of over 250 residential units and Class A commercial space in one of the largest waterfront in-fill communities in Canada.
1996
Nominated for a National Canadian Home Builders Award for “The Queen’s Gate” a four storey condominium project with suspended podium entries and no interior hallways.
1997
Built the very first Canadian turn-key detached home in Germany, one of several delegates introducing Canadian Timber Frame Technology to Germany.
2003
Nova Scotia Home Builders Association winner for the best Townhome design in The Village at Fishermans Cove.
2008
First builder in Canada recognized by Lux Warranty Corporation for five consecutive years of excellence in customer service with zero claims awarded.
2010
First of six consecutive years recognition for building the most Energuide for New Homes properties in Nova Scotia.
2016
Built the first Net Zero ready home east of Montreal as one of only five builders in Canada invited to create a national program for energy efficient housing technology.
2017
Celebrated 30 years of excellence in design and building.
2023
Provident completed road works for the Birchdale subdivision and opened the first model home for its community of 96 semi-detached homes off Herring Cove Road.
